What is The Waterfront Duck experience?
A guided amphibious tour land-and-water sightseeing tour at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The ConDUCKtor (tour guide) provides live commentary by land and sea, covering local history and marine insights and fun facts.
How long is the tour?
About 1 hour, including land and water sections.
Where does the tour start?
From the Duck Stop in the Silo Precinct, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. A second location (coming soon) outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
Is this suitable for kids?
Yes! Iit’s a family-friendly experience for all ages.
Is the water part safe?
Yes. The Duck is certified for both road and water, and the tour stays within the harbour. We do NOT pass the confines of the harbour wall!

What happens if the weather is bad?
Tours may be cancelled if conditions are unsafe. Pax have the option of a full refund or reschedule.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, depending on notice and availability.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds depend on the reason and timing of cancellation. If we cancel a trip for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund. If you need to cancel, we don’t offer refunds, but you can reschedule your booking for another date.
Pricing
How much are tickets?
Adults R395, children R295, infants R95.
Are there pensioner discounts?
Yes, for guests 60+ on tours before 14:00, bookable at the Duck Kiosk. Pensioner tickets start at R355 for individuals and drop with group size.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, special rates for groups of 10+, 20+ or 30 (full bus).

Do I need to print my ticket?
No, digital tickets are accepted.
How early should I arrive?
Arrive 10–15 minutes before departure.
What should I bring?
Your ticket, weather-appropriate clothing, and a camera….and a great sense of humour and smile
Can I reschedule my booking?
Possibly, subject to availability and policy.
